We Deserve Much Better Than We’ve Had is an ode to staying strong through the toughest times one can endure as a Queer person in a non-inclusive setting. Inspired by the Cosmo Jarvis’ poignant Gay Pirates this four-part illustration series tells the story of two sailors fallen in love while aboard a pirate ship: a more-than-hostile environnement in which their feelings were unable to blossom.
However mocked they were by the other mariners, they refused to give up and ended up finding their safe haven at the bottom of the ocean. This series of illustrations is part of the Mag’zine a collective publication conceived by Chloé Tournoux.
